    Part Load or Groupage Service

    A groupage service is when one or more people share space in a container, this is the most cost effective way of moving items across the world. As you can see from the diagram below the shipping container is divided up and customers only pay for the space that they use..

    New Zealand Documents Required

    All shipments require a packing list or inventory, if you have opted for a packing service our crew will complete this documentation for you. However if you are shipping self packed boxes then please provide us with a content list for each box. The inventory does not have to list every individual item but the more detailed the list is the more it will help customs clearance.

    Example:

    1. Box – Clothing and Shoes
    2. Box – Books, Dvd’s, Cds
    3. Box – Computer Games, Books

    Our team are on hand to advise and help you complete these forms.

    A copy of your passport picture page and also a copy of all pages with stamps is also required, along with a UK collection address and also delivery address and telephone number.

    Any customers arriving with a visitors, student or work visa less than twelve months will be required to pay GST and duty where applicable. Our agents will supply you directly with New Zealand customs and MAF quarantine clearance forms.

    All shipments to New Zealand are subject to MAF (Ministry of Agriculture and forestry) clearance. A fee is payable to local authorities whether or not the shipment undergoes physical inspection. Additional charges may apply for fumigation or additional physical examination.

    The minimum charge for these inspections is NZ$80.00

    Shipping to New Zealand Transit Times

    Part Load shipments are mainly shipped through the ports detailed below, however this may vary. Dedicated containers will be shipped to the nearest sea port and we will be happy to advise you of transit times.

    Auckland: 39 days
    Wellington: 43 days
    Lyttleton (Christchurch): 41 days

    The times stated above are for time at sea, please also allow for customs clearance and delivery upon arrival at port. Again our move managers will be happy to advise on delivery times but as a general rule we would estimate 7-14 days for part load deliveries depending on the area.
